Jeff and I made a quick trip out to the lake yestrday evening. I took my camera and hoped that I would see something interesting. Jeff thinks the bird in these pictures is a kingfisher. I had seen them before and thought they were very interesting. This guy sat in the tree for about 20 minutes. Close up he is not so pretty. When I zoomed in on some of the pictures I had taken he has a green snake hanging out of his mouth. He must have caught him on the edge of the lake and then flown up into the tree to eat him. Gag. Now I think they are vulgar.
The last picture is in the water in the cove where Jeff likes to park the boat. You can't get any sunshine there (not cool) and I am certain there are snakes in these weeds that are growing out of the water.
